Let’s get together over coffee to read English language literature, to enjoy and discuss it with fellow readers keen to use their English in new and inspiring contexts.
→ You will come with your reader's curiosity and your interest in the English language
→ I will come with a short story, my love of English and its literatures, plus some instruction and/or guidance
→ We will look into the text together, discuss its twists and turns, have a conversation about how we find it, how it contributes to the way we think, feel, understand
This is a BOOK LAB – part book club, part workshop. The idea is to make space for thoughtful, generous engagement with the texts, and with one another. It’s one thing to get lost in a good book, it’s quite something else to share the experience with someone, to be able to express what intrigues, amuses or puzzles you. And it feels really good to read literature in the original!
So join me for CHAPTER and VERSE – the in-person meet-up to read and talk! This is definitely one good way to begin your summer!
