Joslyn & the Sweet Compression - Levitt AMP

The Levitt AMP Cumberland Music Series is thrilled to present Joslyn & the Sweet Compression - a powerhouse funk and soul band led by the magnetic vocals of frontwoman Joslyn Hampton! After honing her voice in backup roles and stage productions, Joslyn joined creative forces with her stepfather, guitarist and songwriter Mart Charters - a veteran who has performed alongside blues greats like Junior Wells, Buddy Guy, and Van Morrison. Together, they crafted a dynamic sound that fuses classic funk, deep soul, and infectious grooves. Rounding out the band are Carter Scofield (guitar), Tyler Papierniak (bass), Rashawn Fleming (drums), Jacob O’Donnell (saxophone), and Will Doty (keys)—a tight ensemble known for high-energy performances and top-tier musicianship.
