Join two passionate women, Elaine Hooper and Amber Roth, as they share their love for some of the most maligned species....SPIDERS! Elaine has always had a passion for our 8-legged friends while Amber has worked to move beyond her phobia to learn appreciation. This dynamic duo will go over a ton of topics from anatomy to behavior.

You'll not want to miss this opportunity to bust some of the most common myths about spiders here at the museum. Event is free with museum admission. Looking for another date? We will be hosting this event twice each month from June to August in 2025 so make sure to RSVP on the website for your preferred date!

You can find both women educating the public on social media about local insects on social media such as OBX Official Snake, spider, fish, turtle ETC identifier and Carolinas Wildlife Identification and Appreciation Forum or in more global groups such as the popular Antman's Hill ®.
