In group silent sit, we are able to see things as they really are without any distractions of music or guidance. Being able to practice observing our inner world objectively without trying to cling or push things away, may eliminate all 3 causes of all unhappiness: craving, aversion, and ignorance. Silent sit meditation originated 25 centuries ago by Gautama Buddha and aims at the highest spiritual goals of liberation and full enlightenment. With continued practice, the meditation releases tensions developed in everyday life, opening the knots tied by the old habit of reacting in an unbalanced way to pleasant and unpleasant situations.
During this event, we will practice Noble Silence. Noble Silence means no gestures, talking or the use of communication tools such as mobile phones, computer, and the Internet at The Alchemy Yoga and in ETHER room. Practitioners are encouraged to continue Noble Silence during lunch break.
We will provide light snacks and a Keurig machine with coffees/teas.
