Professor Sharon Vaughn has been working on developing, implementing and evaluating effective practices for improving comprehension outcomes for decades and has real world experience for how to implement these practices in classrooms. Dr Vaughn has conducted research and developed support materials for primary and secondary settings and her practical and highly engaging presentation will invite you to understand what is necessary to improve comprehension practices. Dr Vaughn will share her experience working with schools and teachers supporting these practices in classrooms, as well as her knowledge about how to apply grouping methods (collaborative groups, cooperative groups, and small groups) to enhance fluency, vocabulary and comprehension outcomes for all learners.
