YOU’RE INVITED!
EVERYONE IS WELCOME….
DR DEB SHEFI
Working with the TV Series SHIPWRECK HUNTERS ….
Curator, Maritime Heritage!
The Museums contribution to Shipwreck Hunters Australia Season 2, was again led by archaeologists Dr Deb Shefi and Dr Ross Anderson.
The Museum provided maritime archaeological expertise both on camera and behind the scenes, helping to find and tell the stories of some of WA’s most fascinating shipwrecks.
Deb Shefi has worked domestically and abroad as a maritime archaeologist and diver for over twenty years.
In addition to managing the Maritime Archaeology collection, she utilises innovative techniques to research artefacts, including ships’ cargo, personal items and coins.
Her field interests include the use of shipwrecks as climate change markers to better understand the chemical, physical and biological factors impacting site stability and to aid in the management of underwater cultural heritage.
