An introduction to fox hunting for young riders ages 10-18. Learn about fox hunting from attire & etiquette to skills of riding across country.
Participants need to be able to competently trail ride to attend the clinic. Please wear boots and breeches, and an ASTM approved riding helmet.
Day 1, Friday:
Start in the ring to learn & practice exercises that are important when hunting. Then head out into the fields & woods to continue learning good, safe skills & proper terminology used while hunting.
Day 2, Sunday:
(Must participate in Day 1)
Participate in a Fox Hunt! On this day, junior & senior riders from the clinics will ride in a live fox hunt! All riders will be put in a group suitable to their abilities.
Following the hunt, lunch will be provided with a demonstration on proper hunting attire.
Day 1, BYO water for your horse
Day 2, BYO water for your horse (lunch provided)
