Hedda Gabler: People don't do such things

Hedda Gabler: People Don’t Do Such Things, is an ode to human existence and its complexity. Our adaptation of this timeless play comes to life through the embodiment and physical understanding of what makes us rational beings, and what deprives us from it. By emphasising the themes of identity, gender roles and power all together with shattering the idea of living with a meaning pre-established for us before birth (be it 1891, be it 2025), we raise the question of how can one be free?

Duration: 1.5 hours (without intermission).

The Thirdheaded Collective is a theater ensemble established in Copenhagen in 2024. The ensemble consists of people from different countries around Europe, performing English-spoken theater.

This performance is made in collaboration with Valby Kulturhus and the Finnish theatre company Ihmisen Teatteri ry.
