Join Us for a Community Roundtable at FAM!
We are excited to announce that in October 2026, FAM will be opening a new food-focused exhibit titled “Shared Tables, Shared Stories.” This exhibit is currently in the early stages of development, and we would love to involve the community as much as possible!
We are hosting a community roundtable at the Fredericksburg Area Museum in Council Chambers (Third Floor) on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 5:30–7:30pm. This will be an opportunity for you to share your ideas about what you would like to see in the exhibit, topics you’d be interested in having discussed, and ways we can bring the exhibit beyond the museum walls through participatory events and programs such as themed menus.
We will also be discussing our new Folk Life Festival and its inaugural year that will be held at the same time of the exhibit opening. This year’s theme will be food, to complement the upcoming exhibit and will share the same name, "Shared Tables, Shared Stories".
