The Management Difference is a hands-on workshop that equips managers with practical tools to lead with EQ, enhance effectiveness, and drive team engagement through interactive exercises and real-world application.

April 29, 2025 - 9-12pm EST on Zoom

Before the in-person workshop, participants will join a virtual session exploring Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and its critical role in effective management. Using the Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQi), participants will gain insight into their personal areas of emotional skill that contribute to proficiency in complex business activities such as conflict resolution and planning and management performance.

Build the Relationship: Strong leadership starts with trust and connection. In this module, managers will explore how our brains process social interactions using the SCARF model (Status, Certainty, Autonomy, Relatedness, Fairness). By understanding how employees perceive interactions as either positive (toward) or negative (away), managers can build stronger, more engaged teams.

Create Clarity: Clarity is the foundation of high performance. In this module, managers will learn to communicate effectively, set clear expectations, and foster open feedback loops. Managers will practice exchanging feedback—how to ask for, receive, and offer feedback in a way that drives continuous improvement and engagement.

Coach: Great managers don’t just direct—they coach. This module focuses on active listening and powerful questioning techniques to help employees unlock their potential. By shifting from telling to asking, managers will learn how to empower their teams, drive problem-solving, and cultivate a growth mindset.
