Join me, won't you? And step into the magical world of watercolor creation and connect with historic artistic tradition. In this 3-hour workshop, you'll transform pure Italian mineral pigments into luminous watercolor paints using the time-honored methods that have captivated artists for centuries.
Each participant will create their own complete set of five primary watercolors, enough to begin a lifetime of artistic exploration & expression, including yellow, blue, crimson, cinnabar and green.
This workshop celebrates the meditative rhythm of creation—the careful measuring, the gentle grinding, and the moment when separate ingredients become something greater than their parts. You'll leave not just with beautiful handmade paints and understanding of the tools and process, but with a deeper appreciation for the materials that make art possible.
Workshop fee of $100 includes instruction, tools and supplies to use in class, and a half-pan each of five watercolor paint colors you will make in class, plus a travel tin in which to store them.
