This family-friendly, bilingual event kicks off with a delicious catered reception by Tineo Peruvian Restaurant at 5:00 PM. Mingle with local vendors and enjoy the vibrant flavors of Peru while soaking in the cultural energy!
At 6:00 PM, we’ll take you on a journey through Peru’s rich traditions with live folkloric dances from the coast, highlands, and jungle. Each performance will be paired with a fascinating historical introduction, making each dance come alive with meaning and significance.
As the night continues, enjoy the soulful melodies of Emily Espinoza as she sings beautiful creole music from Peru, captivating you with her voice.
The night will culminate in an epic “Crazy Hour” with the Latin Stars Orchestra, where you can get up, dance, and celebrate the joy of Peru’s culture with friends and family!

About Academia Así es mi Perú:
Founded in May 2022 by director Sara Helfers and co-director Lisset Caramantin-Williams, Academia Así es mi Perú quickly became a hub for passionate musicians and dancers of all ages. In just a short time, the group has performed across the region and raised funds for important causes. In 2024, the organization became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, with the mission to promote Peruvian folklore through research, creativity, and cultural exchange. Durante la noche, también podrás disfrutar de la dulce voz de Emily Espinoza, quien nos deleitará con hermosas canciones de música criolla peruana.
La noche culminará con la "Hora Loca" del Latin Stars Orchestra, ¡donde podrás bailar, divertirte y celebrar la cultura peruana con amigos y familia!

En poco tiempo, el grupo ha realizado presentaciones en toda la región y ha recaudado fondos para causas benéficas.
