Movement Imprints

Contemporary Dance/Fort Worth presents a lecture-performance inspired by works in the Modern Art and Politics in Germany 1910-1945 exhibition and exploring how German expressionism impacted theatrical dance in the 20th century and continues to inform contemporary choreography. These unfolding philosophies gave rise to increased explorations of individualism and experiments in movement techniques and choreographic structures, profoundly impacting the development of modern and contemporary dance.

Composer/musician John Hopkins returns to provide live music for performers Breanna Kimbley, Kerry Kreiman, Anna Chavez, Courtney Mulcahy, Tina Mullone, and Claudia P. Orcasitas.
