The National Juneteenth Museum is honored to announce that Ambassador Andrew Young, a towering figure of the Civil Rights Movement and global humanitarian, will headline the Freedom Vibes 2025 "Uniting Voices" Speaker Series on Thursday, June 19 at 3:00 PM, hosted at IM Terrell High School in Fort Worth, Texas.
This powerful Juneteenth moment is proudly sponsored by Doc Holliday, a locally loved dental office located in Sundance Square.
A close confidant of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Ambassador Young was a key strategist during the Civil Rights Movement, helping lead historic efforts such as the Selma to Montgomery marches. He later became the first African American U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and served two terms as mayor of Atlanta, where he helped transform the city into an international hub of culture and commerce.
His participation in Freedom Vibes 2025 continues a proud tradition of powerful, purpose-driven dialogue hosted by the National Juneteenth Museum’s "Uniting Voices" Speaker Series — which in recent years has welcomed renowned thinkers such as Bryan Stevenson, Isabel Wilkerson, and Henry Louis Gates Jr.
Tickets for Freedom Vibes 2025 Speaker Series can be booked here.
