The Plymouth Players of Plymouth Congregational Church present In Pieces: A New Musical by Joey Contreras, running Thursday, July 24 at 7:30 PM, with matinees Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27 at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary of Plymouth Church Fort Wayne. The production is part of the church’s annual Summer Music Series.
Poignant, joyful, and unapologetically queer, In Pieces weaves together a tapestry of love stories and life moments, reflecting the raw emotions, identity journeys, and intimate navigation of the tension between what was, what is, and what might have been.
Staged intentionally during Fort Wayne Pride Weekend, the production reflects Plymouth’s long-standing commitment as an Open and Affirming congregation, welcoming and celebrating LGBTQ individuals in all aspects of church life.
“At a time when LGBTQ relationships continue to be marginalized,” says producer Robert Nance. “In Pieces stands as a testament to inclusive storytelling that resonates deeply during Pride season. We’re proud to share these narratives in a church that has long professed, ‘Whoever you are, wherever you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.’”
The cast features Caleb Curtis, Lincoln Everetts, Sydney Fabregas, Martel Harris, Ren Moore, Chloe Price, Cass Rentfrow, and Timya Townsend, with musical direction by Brandon Porter and stage direction by Heather Brackeen Moore.
Admission is free and open to all. A free-will offering will support Plymouth’s Summer Music Series and arts programming.
