Please join us for an evening of classical guitar to benefit Magenta Mind featuring Ayman Jarjour.
Born out of frustration over the lack of appropriate responses to the increasing challenges for communities in great need, Magenta Mind provides community training and mental health services, especially in areas hardest hit by catastrophe. The organization focuses on, "mental wellness because we see it as both a tool and an end to direct and lasting impact in the face of prolonged suffering," and conducts community building trainings, music programs, and specialist-led mental health training in underserved Arabic-speaking communities across the Middle East, North Africa, and beyond. Ayman is a classical guitarist who plays music with Spanish, Latin American, and Middle Eastern flavors. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Madrid’s Royal Conservatory of Music, a Master’s from The Juilliard School, has played throughout Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, and received a standing ovation at Carnegie Hall as winner of Artists International’s Special Presentation Award.
This concert is free and open to the public. Donations to Magenta Mind will be gratefully accepted.
