Natural Building Experience

Join us as we begin preparation for our Natural Building Experience a month from now. The build out entailed first digging down a few feet so that this hempcrete greenhouse space will have a slight Walipini feel. This day will largely be spent laying pavers for the floor. We hope to have a good amount of pea gravel ready to use as underlayment. We have been inspired by natural builder John Patterson, who will lead the Natural Building Experience September 5-7th. There is an opportunity for a scholarship, sponsored by Hazel Dell Mushrooms, for the main build that weekend - please see the SignUp below to apply for the scholarship.

This will be the 1st of two volunteer days, each of which enables a working discount for the September event. The 2nd will be the following Sunday, Aug 17th, where we hope to be building the framework where hempcrete and hemp Earthbags will be placed.

You do not need to register for the Natural Building Experience in September to attend these, but of course we hope you do! For both days, please bring food to share as we will break half way through. One special request from one foodie to others: edible flowers! Sturdy shoes, gloves, and water bottles are recommended.
