Paddleboard 101

Whether you are brand new to paddleboarding or just want to brush up on the basics, our new paddleboard class is the perfect way to get started! Sign up today for Outdoor Recreations ‘Paddleboard 101’ class on Saturday, June 14, at 10 a.m. at Carey Pool!

This fun, beginner-friendly group class is open to ages 12 and up and kicks off with a quick lesson where you’ll learn essential paddleboarding skills, safety tips, and get to know your gear - then it’s time to hit the water! MWR’s Carey Pool offers the perfect calm conditions for learning, exploring, and building confidence on the board.

Whether you’re coming solo or with friends, our goal is simple: to make you feel comfortable, confident, and love every moment on the water! Registration required by visiting or calling Outdoor Rec at 706-545-7978. The class is $25 per person and includes all required equipment. Open to all DoD ID cardholders and their families!
