24 Hour Tennis Marathon in Honour of Marcia Virdi

FTC is honoured to be supporting Jette Virdi who will be playing tennis for 24 hours in order to raise money for CLAN Cancer Support Elgin.

Jette is a new member at the club, but many of you may know her mum Marcia Virdi, who has been a tennis coach in Aberdeenshire and Moray for many years, teaching hundreds if not thousands of kids at many different schools and clubs.

Sadly, Marcia has been battling cancer and is nearing the end of her life.

CLAN Cancer Support in Elgin have been providing the family with invaluable support.

In an effort to raise funds for them, Jette will be playing a 24 hour tennis marathon from 4pm on Saturday 24th May, to 4pm on Sunday the 25th. The club will pull together a support team to help her through, and we are looking to put together a rota of players who can participate over the 24 hours.

For the last 4 hours, midday to 4pm, there will be a BBQ and refreshments to spur Jette on the last few hours of her challenge.
