Nikki O’Neill is a Chicago-based soul/americana singer-songwriter on Blackbird Record Label, an indie label in LA. Occasionally, she plays lead guitar, hailing Pops Staples and Teenie Hodges as inspirations. Reviewers have pointed out her ability to integrate soul, blues, rock and americana into a personal expression, with melody and hook-driven songwriting.

Nikki’s third album, “Stories I Only Tell My Friends,” will be out March 14, 2025 and it’s funded by the Illinois Arts Council, as she is their 2025 grant recipient.

She will be joined by three members from her band: Rich Lackowski (drums), Teddy Myers (keys) and Andy Mirsberger (bass).
