To celebrate National Tree Day we will be caring for our existing trees by creating an understorey habitat which provides shelter and nutrients for their root systems.
We also have a few Sheoak trees to plant which are recorded as part of the original ecosystem at Newells Paddock stretching back hundreds of years.
You're invited to plant with us at Newells Paddock in 2 weeks.
* Please sign in at the BBQ shelter or the planting trailer.
* Bring your own gloves & tools (some provided)
* There are a variety of tasks (easy or energetic) - it all makes a difference!
* If you are feeling unwell, please stay home and we'll see you next time.
* We'll have some biscuits and tea/coffee afterwards to chat and catch up
Access from Jamieson Ave, Footscray or Ride/walk from the Maribyrnong River Trail, near city train line (follow the signs).
