Get ready for one of Folsom’s most loved traditions! 🇺🇸✨
The Historic Folsom Hometown Parade brings Sutter Street to life with over 70 entries—marching bands, horses, vintage cars, Wild West reenactors, community groups, floats, police and fire departments, and plenty of surprises! The parade starts at Scott Street and rolls down to Reading Street, so bring your lawn chairs and show your Folsom pride early!
🎶 After the parade, stick around!
Enjoy live music at Gaslight Co and Folsom Hotel, Bloody Mary specials, a fantastic Farmers Market in the Plaza (8 AM–1 PM), and amazing shopping and dining throughout the Historic District.

Entries open April 2025 for local businesses, schools, nonprofits, and spirited community groups.
🧑🤝🧑 Groups are limited to 25 walkers in the parade
⬆️ Max float height is 12 feet (due to overhead lights on Sutter Street)

🙌 Want to Volunteer?
We’re looking for 50–60 amazing volunteers to help bring the magic to life!
✅ Must be able to stand for 3 hours
✅ Tasks include barricade monitoring, staging help, setup support, and guest assistance

🚗 Parking & Transportation Tips
Parking is limited—carpool or ride share if possible. Here are your best options:
Main garage: 905 Leidesdorff Street
Secondary garage: 604 Sutter Street
Surface lots at Wool & Sutter, Leidesdorff, Traders Lane, or Riley Street
Light rail station lots near Reading and Folsom Blvd
Rodeo Grounds parking with a fun walk on the Johnny Cash Trail
🚫 Please do not park near Lake Natoma Inn (unless staying there) or in residential areas with NO PARKING signs.
🚋 Light Rail: Take the Gold Line to Historic Folsom Station. Free parking available at Iron Point station with a short ride into town.
