An evening led by two powerhouse performers, united in song. Steve March-Tormé, acclaimed vocalist, son of legendary crooner Mel Tormé, and host of 91.1 The Avenue, brings his signature smooth style and rich storytelling to the stage. March-Tormé joins forces with Michael Murphy, a Wisconsin-born, Nashville-based singer/songwriter known for his heartfelt Americana and rock-infused compositions. The two artists’ joint performance centers around a full-album performance of Elton John’s 1970 masterpiece Tumbleweed Connection, as well as a curated selection of other 1970 songs written by James Taylor, Crosby, Stills & Nash, The Band, James Gang, Chicago, and more. Together, March-Tormé and Murphy take audiences on a nostalgic journey through one of the most musically transformative years in modern history.
