Meet the Machine
We will be looking at all things Sewing machine. Learn the basics of sewing machines, troubleshooting and maintenance. Learn how to sew basic stitches to be able to start on your sewing journey.
This is a great introduction to take ahead of any sewing workshops so you are familiar with machines, can thread them and problem solve getting the most out of your time.
Machines & materials provided. If you have your own we encourage you to bring it so you can learn on that.

About the Instructor:
Louise Ferguson is the Executive Director for the Fernie & District Arts Council. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Arts University Bournemouth, England, specialising in Costume. Louise has previously worked in costume departments in the London theatre community, national Ballet, and gained experience in fashion history curation. Upon leaving England she worked at Walt Disney World, Florida in the largest costume department in the world and as a seamstress in Fernie.
