Discover the basics of sewing in a supportive, hands-on workshop. Choose from a selection of simple patterns and learn essential skills step by step.
Perfect for complete beginners or anyone looking to refresh or build their foundational sewing skills.
All materials are provided. Sewing Machines available, please indicate in the registration if you require one.
Depending on the pattern chosen you may not complete the project during the timeframe. Sewing machines are available for free to use after the workshop.
About the Instructor:
Louise Ferguson is the Executive Director for the Fernie & District Arts Council. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Arts University Bournemouth, England, specialising in Costume. Louise has previously worked in costume departments in the London theatre community, national Ballet, and gained experience in fashion history curation. Upon leaving England she worked at Walt Disney World, Florida in the largest costume department in the world and as a seamstress in Fernie.

This workshop is planned to take place in our upstairs studios, which are accessed by steep stairs. If you require main-level access, please indicate this in your event registration, and we will accommodate your needs.
