Join our lively Books & Brews meet-up on the 4th Wednesday of every month from 6-7 pm at Fringe Brewing in Downtown Ferndale. The discussion is casual, and all are welcome — even if you don’t finish the book!

This month we will read The Light Pirate by Lily Brooks-Dalton, an adult dystopian fiction/magical realism novel set in a future Florida ravaged by climate change. The story follows the Lowe family as they adapt to life in a dangerous and ever-changing tropical environment. Told in four parts, the novel mirrors the rhythms of the elements and explores survival, resilience, and the beauty of a rapidly changing world.
