Born and raised in Big Rapids, Michigan, Greg Bybee got his start in wine not in a vineyard, but at his first job in Washington, D.C., where mentors introduced him to the world of wine.

After 14 years in the industry, he launched Benmar Wines, a small Oregon winery rooted in craftsmanship, transparency, and family.
Today, Benmar is one of the fastest-growing small wine brands in Oregon, renowned for its soulful, expressive Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that consistently overdeliver at every price point. And at the heart of it all is a story that started right here in Michigan.
