LIFE AS A WARDEN ON A REMOTE ISLAND
Tuesday 24th June 7pm
(Mawnan Memorial Hall)Chloe Hurst will talk to us about the 2 seasons she has spent working as a warden with the Manx Wildlife Trust on The Calf of Man, a tiny, uninhabited remote Island off the Isle of Man
The Calf is a bird observatory carrying out crucial surveys of birds, seals, moths and butterflies.
During March - November, 4 wardens live and work on the Island, immersed in nature, braving the elements, living off grid and relying on a boat for their supplies.
