Event Details:
Bonfire and time for fellowship begins at 7:30pm, and the talk begins at 8pm. We will be located in the field to the left of St Philip’s main entrance - at the fire pit (7500 St Philips Ct, Falls Church, VA). S’mores, snacks, and refreshments will be provided for enjoyment, but please feel free to bring your own snacks or beverages to share! Seating is available, and lawn chairs are also encouraged.
Talk Details:
Seminarian John Anthony will talk about St. Thomas More and how this Saint's witness played a role in his calling to enter Seminary. He will also talk about life as a Seminarian in the Arlington Diocese.
Speaker Bio:
John Anthony Buono is a Seminarian for the Diocese of Arlington, entering his fourth year at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD. He grew up in Arlington and his home parish is St. Agnes, where he and his five other siblings attended elementary and middle school. He then graduated from the Heights School, a small private school for boys in Maryland in 2018. Prior to entering seminary, he graduated from the Catholic University of America in 2022, with a B.S.B.A. in Accounting and Sales. John Anthony is an avid sports fan; he played baseball through high school and cheers for the Washington Nationals. He also loves to sing and play the piano in his free time.
