A Tandem Cycling Clinic for those who are Blind or have Low Vision!
This project is a collaboration between Upstate NY Blind Recreation, Erie Canal Boat Company, R Community Bikes Inc, and Rochester Accessible Adventures.
LOCATION: Erie Canal Boat Company, 7 LiftBridge Lane West, Fairport
WHEN: September 16 , 5-6:30 PM

WHAT THIS IS:
Sept 16th will be a TRAINING night. We will train the FRONT SEAT RIDERS and the BACK SEAT RIDERS.
TERMINOLOGY:
The Pilot (or "Captain") is someone who is sighted who will be seated on the front seat leading the pair on the tandem cycle, and will work in tandem with a person with low vision or who is Blind on the back seat ("Stoker").
Pilots: 4:00-6:30PM
You will receive specific training for front seat riders from 4:00-5:00 and then will participate in the training of the stokers from 5:00-6:30, including time to get familiar with riding with someone.
Stokers: 5:00-6:30PM
You will learn about how to ride a tandem with a pilot on the front seat and you on the back seat, with a goal of becoming comfortable riding tandem.
Sign up for the role you will be taking in the September 16th training night. Choose either Pilot or Stoker and plan to attend for the designated time period.
