Info: Gentle yoga with a horse. Feel the somatic sensations in this pioneering class. Somatic Equine Experiences is an organization focused on all things somatic and all things horse. Our bodies keep the score - as Bessel van der Kolk has written. Finding ways to release past trauma stored in the body, happens to be a pastime or a profession for many humans around the world. Somatic releases come much more easily if we lay quietly without distractions (cell phones or other devices specifically). Doing this next to the incredible horse, allows for a 1,200 pound magnification of the natural bodily sensations that may surface. It is a wonderful way to combine rejuvenation with our more balanced and calm nature. Horses help us drop our personas. Horses help us stay present and in the more authentic designs of ourselves.
