Sunset Hike on the Prairie

Join our naturalists for a peaceful sunset sit-down and experience the prairie in its golden hour. Discover the unique prairie ecosystem and learn how animals are specially adapted to thrive at all hours of the day. Meet at the Bison Center parking lot at 7:00 p.m., where we’ll caravan to a scenic lookout spot. Be sure to come prepared—wear closed-toe shoes, apply bug spray, and bring a water bottle!

There is no fee to participate in the event. However, a park entrance license is required to enter the park and may be purchased at the park office from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. during the week, or at the Visitor Center, which is open 8:00 a.m. To 8:00 p.m.
