Deja Vu Quintet - Music with Reindeer

We are so excited to be continuing our Music with Reindeer series this summer! Join us for an enchanting evening under the midnight sun featuring local musicians and reindeer! Bring friends, chairs, food and beverages and enjoy local music with our reindeer. Come through out the summer and see our calves grow!

In the year 2000, Clarinetists Ted and Kay DeCorso relocated from Fairbanks to Florida where they began teaching, playing and conducting in the Sunshine State. But every summer they returned to Fairbanks and pursued a yen to perform chamber music with friends from the Fairbanks days. It was more fun with old friends….like déjà vu all over again.

The first concert as the Déjà Vu Players, at the Universalist Church, around the year 2008, included pianist Krejci, piano; Thom McLean, Viola: and Ted and Kay on Clarinet. More recent concerts added cellist Charly Ackert, violinist Sara DeCorso and violist Laurie Long to the mix and for our current series we welcome cellist Helena Buurman and bassist Bob Olsen to our merry band.

The goal of the Déjà Vu Players is to select favorites from amongst the vast chamber literature and present concerts that reflect the huge range of expression that exists in this body of music.
