Event Overview

Join us for an evening of good food and company at one of our carefully selected restaurants. At this supper, either Sarah Briggs, the founder of Zest Singles, or one of our friendly hosts will be there to welcome you. This event is designed to bring together like-minded singles over 50 in a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you're looking to meet new people, enjoy a lovely meal, or both, our evening supper promises an enjoyable experience.

Dining the Spanish Way

Tapas is all about sharing — small plates, lively conversation, and a relaxed flow of food to the table. To keep things simple, we’ll order a selection of dishes to share between small groups (usually two to four people per table), and then split the cost accordingly at the end of the evening. This sociable style of dining always brings a lovely sense of connection and fun, so come ready to try new flavours and enjoy the true spirit of Spanish hospitality.

If you prefer not to share your food, this particular supper may not be the right fit — but don’t worry, we have plenty of other Zest evenings that will suit you perfectly.

About The Restaurant
Independently owned and full of character, Calvo Loco Tapas Bar is a lively little gem on Magdalen Road that captures the authentic spirit of Spanish dining. Cured meats and cheeses are sourced directly from Spain, while the fresh meat, fish and vegetables come from trusted local suppliers. With its relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and an array of vibrant dishes made for sharing — from Jamón Bellota and artisan cheeses to melt-in-the-mouth meatballs and their famous ‘cheese surprise’ — Calvo Loco is a wonderful spot for a sociable evening of food, wine and laughter.
