GRANNY GALACTICA – A Musical Space Odyssey with a Twist!

Hop aboard a starship and set off on a cosmic adventure in Granny Galactica — a unique, family-friendly science musical packed with songs, storytelling, and a dash of environmental reckoning 🪐
Meet Dr. Nora Nettle, a retired astronomer whose plans for a peaceful holiday with her three unimpressed grandchildren are turned upside down when a robot from another world offers them a trip across the galaxy. Along the way, they’ll encounter AIs, space stations, exploding stars, and a band of TV-obsessed aliens — the Fnirks — who have plans of their own for Earth…
With a score full of catchy, witty, and educational songs (with lyrics projected on-screen for you to follow or even join in), this concert-style performance brings together fun, facts, and a thought-provoking message about caring for our planet.
Suitable for all ages 6+
Show duration: approx. 100 minutes, including a 20-minute interval
Please note: no refreshments will be served during the show, but the cafe downstairs will be open until 4pm, and you're welcome to bring in your own drinks & snacks.
Tickets are Pay What You Can on a donation basis. Any and all donations will go towards the Libraries Unlimited Charity, and are very much appreciated. Even if you just pay £1! Spaces are limited, so please do book in advance.
