Get ready to shake the shelves and dance amongst the books in this fun, welcoming, and barn-storming event at Exeter Library
Professional live caller Jeremy and his amazing Amber Fire band are coming to the Library for a couple of hours of non-stop dancing, with moves that everybody can get involved in. Plus, a pop-up bar serving soft drinks and booze to whet your whistle between the tunes.
Grab your partner - or come on your own - and do-si-do on down to the library for a night of dancing, fun and lively folk music, as well as a cosy, social space to have a drink and a catch up. Everyone is welcome.
About the band
Amber Fire have been playing for barn dances and ceilidhs for well over twenty years and is among the top tier of Devon bands for all occasions. They bring a superb selection of traditional jigs and reels from Scotland, Ireland and England, played with spirit on fiddle accordion and guitar.
The dances will kick off at 7pm sharp and be finished by 9.15pm. Doors to the Library will be open from 6.30pm.
Tickets are £7 per person. This is a 16+ event.
Accessibility
The event will take place on the main Library floor, which is fully accessible throughout in terms of wheelchair access. There is an accessible toilet, which is currently only available on the top floor, via lift or stairs.
There will be a dedicated, slightly quieter social space away from the band.
There is no dedicated parking at Exeter Library. There are a number of blue badge spaces out the front of the building.
