“Buzzing from the Dragons Den, Building A Brand"

In February 2025, Faye and her partner Jake pitched their invention - the Bee Revival Kit - on BBC One’s Dragon’s Den. While they didn’t secure financial investment, something even more valuable happened: Deborah Meaden, a long-time champion of ethical and sustainable businesses, offered her mentorship and support. With her guidance, Beevive’s mission is now buzzing beyond the UK, expanding into Europe and the USA.

Faye Whitley is the co-founder of Beevive, a bee-saving business with a big ambition: to make the world a more bee-friendly place and help people reconnect with nature.

Inspired by a spontaneous encounter with a tired bee, Beevive was born from the alarming crisis our bees are facing with 35 bee species currently under threat of extinction.

Drawing on her background in sustainable design, Faye has developed an innovative range of products that empower individuals to take small, positive steps to #savethebees.

In 2021, Faye won the Dell Technologies UK DWEN Dream Tech Contest and became part of their global campaign as a UK Chapter Ambassador, encouraging women to innovate, connect, and succeed.

Since then, Beevive’s product range has grown to include bee hotels and bamboo keyrings, designed and hand-assembled in their Exeter-based studio. The products are now stocked by respected organisations including the WWF (World Wildlife Fund), English Heritage, the Wildlife Trusts, the RSPB, and, most recently, on the high street at John Lewis.
