What is Eurovision Song Contest?

Eurovision Song Contest is an annual singing competition broadcast on live television and participated in by European countries who are members of the European Broadcasting Union. The contest has been held annually since 1956 and is one of the longest-running television programs in the world. Each country submits one song, and the other countries cast votes on the song to determine the winner.

When is Eurovision 2023?

The Eurovision Week will have three shows: Semi-final 1 on Tuesday, Semi-final 2 on Thursday and the Grand Final on Saturday:

  • Semi-final 1: 9 May 2023

  • Semi-final 2: 11 May 2023

  • Grand Final: 13 May 2023

All three live shows will start at 21:00 CEST and will be hosted by Julia Sanina, Graham Norton, Hannah Waddingham and Alesha Dixon.

  • On May 13, 2023, a Eurovision Party will be held at the City Chambers. The Eurovision Song Contest final will be broadcasted on a big screen from 8 pm to Midnight at the City Chambers, Edinburgh. This salubrious venue will host a party for 110 people, who will be welcomed with light refreshments and food provided at night.

  • The Norwich Arts Centre is screening the Eurovision 2023 Song Contest Grand Final live in their auditorium on Saturday, 13th May 2023. The event will be hosted by Norwich drag superstars Liv, Dandy and Moth as the hosts, plus special guest artists performing all our favourite Eurovision anthems.

  • Celebrate the biggest, brightest, boldest music party of the year on the big screen, the Eurovision Grand Final 2023 - Viewing Party. Eurovision fans can take to their seats with their friends in their local cinema to view a special preview of BBC Three’s new show ‘I Kissed a Boy’ presented by Dannii Minogue before the Grand Final takes place from 8 pm.

  • London’s most audacious rooftop bar Savage Garden is launching a brand-new weekend brunch on Saturday, 13th May, for those who prefer their avocado served with a slice of attitude. Bitchin’ Brunch is set to be one of the wildest weekend events in the city.

  • On 13th May, at 7 pm, come down to the Carlton Club where they will have the big screen showing the Eurovision as you've never seen it before. It is a perfect way to have that Eurovision party without making a mess of your house.
