Fèis Rois & Fèis Air an Òir Ceilidh Trails @ Invershin Hotel

We are delighted to present a joint concert by the Fèis air an Òir and Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trails at Invershin Hotel in collaboration with Sutherland Sessions.

The Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail is a paid summer job and professional development opportunity for outstanding young traditional musicians aged 16 to 25.

Taking place in July and August, The Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail provides visitors to Scotland, and locals alike, with the opportunity to experience authentic traditional Scottish music in a wide range of settings. Fèis Rois established its successful Ceilidh Trail programme in Ross-Shire in 2000. This project has since gone from strength to strength and now provides opportunities for young musicians from across Scotland to perform in locations across the country and further afield.

Many previous participants of the Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail have gone onto carve out very successful careers in the Scottish music industry. These include Mairearad Green, Rachel Newton, Kim Carnie, Iona Fyfe, Calum McIlroy, Ali Levack and Conal McDonagh to name but a few.

Fèis Air an Oir was established in 2000 and has gone from strength to strength ever since. With this year being the 25th anniversary they are delighted to be running their ceilidh trail once again creating performance opportunities for young musicians from the North Coast to showcase their talent!
