June Meeting - Adaptive DBS

Please join us on Tuesday, June 24th at 6 pm, in the Georgia Room at Brandon Wilde. Michelle Reed, Deep Brain Stimulation Therapy (DBS) Representative for Medtronic, will present about the company’s new adaptive DBS system, BrainSense™. Approved by the FDA in February 2025, the new technology captures brain signals the moment a problem, such as freezing, occurs and allows the care team to adjust and correct settings based on the real-time record. Medtronic has often been a sponsor of the CSRA Parkinson Support Group over the years and we look forward to partnering with them in the years to come. If you know anyone considering DBS, you should invite them to come along and hear about this new option. Please bring a covered potluck dish if you are able.
