Women’s Chainsaw Class

When: Sunday, May 4th, 11 AM - 5 PM

Where: College of the Redwoods, Applied Technology Building room AT-127

Learn basic chainsaw skills with hands-on instruction from the CR Logging Sports Team and Milt’s Saw Shop. No experience necessary!

This event is a fundraiser for the new CR Logging Sports Team!

Topics covered include:

• Safety and PPE
• Maintenance and Sharpening
• Tension and Compression
• Bucking and Limbing

Equipment/PPE

• Personal Protective Equipment and chainsaws will be provided for use during instruction. You are welcome to bring your own.

What to Wear

• Dress for variable weather conditions since part of the class will be spent hands-on outdoors.
• Participants need supportive footwear leather boots/hiking boots, and long-sleeved shirt and long jean-type pants.

• BBQ lunch will be available

• $40 plus Eventbrite processing fee

• Cancel up to 3 days before the event and you'll be refunded you rregistration fee, the Eventbrite processing fee is not refundable.
