Maker’s Apron Creative Reuse presents Makers Camp: Robots vs Fairies, a day camp for 3rd through 6th graders! Monday June 23rd to Friday June 27th at the Jefferson Center in Eureka. Each 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. day is packed with crafty projects, building challenges, group games, as well as FREE lunch and snacks!
Mini Makers will create creatures, costumes and contraptions. Camp leaders will guide campers through a variety of individual and group projects along with team building challenges and collaborations, culminating in a Friday photoshoot to show off their work. All tools and materials are included. Campers will discover our interconnected ecosystem and their place in it while learning about the 4Rs of waste reduction: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot.
Maker’s Apron has partnered with the Jefferson Community Center, taking over a large classroom for the week. Thanks to the Jefferson Project’s Free Summer Lunch Program, all campers can enjoy free lunches and snacks made on site with all local ingredients. Each day is 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with early drop off and late pick up available.
The cost of each five day camp session is $250 per camper with some scholarships available. Interested mini makers and their families can find more camp details, a sample daily schedule, and a registration link at makersapron.org. Maker’s Apron is a DreamMaker Project of the Ink People Center for the Arts.
