Learn to identify and detach from the judging voice inside you and shift it to a kinder and more compassionate inner voice of wisdom.
The way we talk to ourselves matters, and this, especially during challenging times. In burn-out, negative self-talk has many forms and could sound like:
“I will never be well again...”
“I am worthless...”
“I am useless”
“I can’t do anything!”
“I haven’t done anything today!”
This rough voice can go on and on, and if left unattended, it can keep us from moving on.
Beating ourselvers up will not make us feel better, nor will allow us to overcome difficult challenges such as burn-out.
There are kinder and more supportive ways of talking to ourselves.
