If you ever wondered how the park transforms to a farm setting or Main Street becomes a thriving hub of activity with rides, games and food or the Borough council room and Fire Hall become galleries of beautiful exhibits, volunteer and you can be a part of all the activity. Join us at a Drop-in meeting for volunteers on Tuesday, August 26, 2024 from 3-7 pm at the Fair Building located at 19 South Street, Ephrata.
There are a variety of volunteer positions available for all ages and skill sets. We are looking for laborers to help with set-up and clean-up the week before the fair throughout the week of the fair for events and at the end of the fair. Some positions require walking, standing, lifting, climbing ladders, or sitting. Other positions will require computer knowledge, typing or just being an extra pair of hands. We have opportunities in the morning, afternoon, and evening and if you are a night owl we have those hours available, also. You will receive on-the-job training for whatever position you choose. Our board members and committee members will work with you and help you get the job done. The fair provides the equipment and tools necessary to accomplish the task.
At the Drop-In meeting, you can get plugged in, and join the Ephrata Fair Team. You will receive information: date, time, where, description of task, skills required, physical requirements and the contact information of the person you will be volunteering for and with. We, the board and committee, will be available when you sign-up at the Drop-In meeting to answer questions and guide you to a successful volunteer experience with the Ephrata Fair.
