The Danish Halls is hosting a Danish Carnival Event for our community, celebrating the traditional Danish event of Festelvan! Which is the Danish version of Halloween, where children go “trick or treating”, play games, sing songs and smash a barrel “piñata” filled with candy (and black cat, that is later chased out of the town, symbolically running all bad luck from the town). Luckily for any local black cats, we do use a stuffed cat in our barrel piñata!
We encourage everyone to join in our family fun event! By dressing up in costumes and stop by to play games! All children in costumes are free to enter, otherwise it’s $1 per child! We will be serving free snacks of popcorn, cookies and juice! And hotdogs for $1 each!
Winning any of our kid friendly games, have fun prizes at our prize table! Also our traditional barrel piñata will be ready to smash at 7:30pm for everyone in attendance!
If you’d like to join in our fun event, it’s Sat. March 14th 6pm to 8:30pm at the Danish Hall, 1708 Porter St enumclaw.
