Public Talk - 'Sat-Okh, A life story of a Polish Native American, Stanislaw Suplatowicz'

As part of Clare Museum's Festival of Polish Culture, Jakub Kacprzak will give a public talk entitled 'Sat-Okh, A life story of a Polish Native American, Stanislaw Suplatowicz'.
Born of a Polish mother, exiled to Siberia, and a Canadian Shawnee father, Sat Okh was raised in both Polish and Native American cultures, During WWII he escaped Auschwitz transport, and fought in the Resistance. After the war, he tirelessly promoted indigenous American culture and became a legend, inspiring generations of Polish people. His books were translated into many languages and signified his idea:
‘‘There is one human goodness and one human evil, despite various skin colours” ('The Land Of Salt Rocks')
