Clare Arts Office in conjunction with Clare Museum is delighted to present “Fite Fuaite” - Connections with Land, Nature and One Another, an art exhibition at the Clare Museum by members of the West Clare Artist Collective from 22nd September to 18th October 2025.
The West Clare Artist Collective was established in 2023 by Ceri Garfield, Aine Rynne, Claire Frawley and Caroline Lernihan to build creative connections through discussions and sharing of information, techniques and ideas. They now come together to bring you their dynamic exhibition Fite Fuaite.
Fite Fuaite, meaning interlaced or intertwined, aims to showcase their individual expressions of the land and their connections to it through varying mediums.
Ceri Garfield’s visual artwork represents a close relationship with our natural environment. With a passion for regeneration she uses the mediums of pencil and watercolour to capture the changing nature of what’s around her.
Aine Rynne’s work is inspired by the tones, light and hues of West Clare. Her mixed media paintings explore abstract impressions of land and nature through vibrant colours and mark making.
Claire Frawley portrays people and animals which is infused with mystical and enchanted elements through her vivid colours and intricate details in her acrylic paintings.
Caroline Lernihan invites the viewer to take a closer look at botanical forms and florals which she observes in her daily walks in the landscape. She aims to capture these through her detailed paintings in oil.
