Headshots and resumes are not required. Actors will read from provided sides, which will be emailed to you after you sign up.

🌟 About the Play
Miracle on South Division Street is a heartfelt and hilarious comedy about faith, family, and the stories we tell ourselves. The Nowak family has lived in the same working-class neighborhood of Buffalo, NY for generations, proudly maintaining the family legend that the Virgin Mary once appeared in Grandpa’s barbershop. But when a family secret is revealed, their world is turned upside-down, forcing each member to confront their beliefs, their bonds, and their future. A warm, funny, and ultimately uplifting story filled with sharp humor and unexpected twists.
🎭 Character Descriptions
CLARA NOWAK – Female, 50s–70s
The proud matriarch of the Nowak family. A devout Polish-Catholic who clings tightly to family traditions and beliefs. Clara is strong-willed, practical, and often stubborn, but her love for her children runs deep.
BEVERLY NOWAK – Female, 20s–40s
Clara’s middle daughter. Tough, blunt, and a bit skeptical, Beverly is grounded in the real world. She works as a food server and isn't afraid to speak her mind.
RUTH NOWAK – Female, late 20s–40s
The oldest Nowak child. A struggling actress and aspiring writer who still lives nearby. Ruth is creative and idealistic, and she sets the story in motion when she reveals a surprising family secret.
JIMMY NOWAK – Male, 20s-30s
Clara’s youngest. A friendly, good-natured guy who works as a garbage collector. Jimmy is easygoing and likable, serving as a calming presence in the midst of family chaos.
