Join Deanna for a six week series of yin yoga. Studies show we lose our range of motion as we age, unless we are caring for our connective tissue/fascia on a regular basis. Through gentle, long held postures, yin yoga stimulates the connective tissue resulting in more hydrated and healthy fascia. Through compression of tissues/muscles, the meditative postures of yin yoga also help the body remove metabolic waste, assisting in reducing pain and tension. In this series, we will also investigate the energetic pathways in the body as they benefit our major organs such as the liver and kidneys. Each week, we will explore meridian pairs of yin/yang organs as they relate to our health, wellness and vitality.
Yin yoga is accessible for all ability levels, Options will be given for modifications as needed. No prior experience necessary. Each session will be recorded in case you need to miss a class.
