Got aches and pains? Lack flexibility? Try Somatic Movement (aka Somatic Yoga) which uses slow, gentle movements and myofascial release techniques to help to help chronic pain and stress in the body. All movements are on your back or sitting, with no standing poses. No experience necessary. For all ages and abilities. Somatic movement can help improve muscular tension, improve neurological function, coordination, and bring about states of relaxation and calm.
Somatic workshops will be held on Tuesday, September 9th 10-11:15 am, and Thursday, September 11, 6:00-7:15 pm, at St. James Church in Coopersburg. The workshop is free to new students. Space is limited, so you must register to attend. This is a great way to introduce a friend to somatic yoga if you are a regular student!
These workshops will also be livestreamed on zoom. Please message or email Deanna for the zoom link.
